Vice President of Educational Services

Denise L. Sedlacek joined Pressley Ridge in August 2009 as the Vice President of Education Services. Denise is responsible for the oversight and supervision of all education programs within the education service line. Denise is a seasoned leader in the Pittsburgh educational community who has both a personal and professional commitment to education programs focused on students with special needs in autism spectrum and emotional and behavioral issues.
Denise brings 20 years of experience in public education to her position at Pressley Ridge. Previously serving as the Program Director of the Watson’s Institute’s Craig Academy, she has served as the supervisor of Secondary Curriculum and Instruction for the Baldwin-Whitehall School District and has served as a building principal in Chartiers Valley, Charleroi, and Canon McMillan School Districts. Denise has served as a board member for numerous organizations in education. She is actively involved with the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development. Denise also serves as an adjunct instructor with the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a consultant to school districts and educational organizations throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
Denise earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Master of Education in Administration Policies Studies from the University of Pittsburgh. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Education at University of Pittsburgh.
