Scott Spangler, MSWIn April of 2010, Scott Spangler was named Vice President of Strategic Expansion and will be responsible for seeking out viable merger/acquisition opportunities for Pressley Ridge.

Scott joined Pressley Ridge in July 2008, as a result of the merger between Family and Children Services of Central Pennsylvania (F&CS) and Pressley Ridge. As Vice President of Community-based Services, Scott provided leadership and direction for more than twenty community-based programs in Pennsylvania and Ohio as well as for the treatment foster care program. He was responsible for the operation, growth and financial sustainability of the service line and the adoption programs.

Before joining Pressley Ridge, Scott served as president and chief executive officer for F&CS. Within the past 10 years, Scott served as president and chief executive officer for Family & Children’s Service of Capital Region as well as president and chief executive officer for Family Services Partners before the merger with F&CS. Scott has more than 30 years experience in the human services field and for the last 20 years has held management and executive positions in healthcare, geriatric care and family service organizations.

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Scott holds a masters degree in Social Work.

Foster Parent Conference & Recognition Banquet

Pressley Ridge Delaware is collaborating with the state of Delaware to host the first Foster Parent Conference & Recognition Banquet. The conference is FREE; continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be served; keynote speaker is Chauncey Strong of Fairfax County Virginia Department of Family Services in the Permanency and Life Skills Unit ; training sessions will be offered throughout the day. Upon completion parents can earn 6 annual training hours.
