Pittsburgh,
PA --- Pressley Ridge is hosting
a “birthday party” in celebration
of providing 175 years of services to children
and families on Tuesday, April 17 at its
Marshall Avenue Campus located on Pittsburgh’s
North Side. Children, families, and employees
will play traditional party games (flashback
of the 1800’s) and enjoy cake and ice
cream.
In addition, a dedication will be held at 10
a.m. where Pressley Ridge will unveil a 600 pound
bronze sculpture honoring past, present and future
employees. The sculpture is full size and
depicts a teacher sitting on a bench, gently
holding and reading a book to a child.
More than 3,500 people will celebrate Pressley Ridge’s anniversary on April 17. Activities and celebrations are being held at all Pressley Ridge sites in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Texas, Washington, D.C., Hungary and Portugal.
