Pressley Ridge T/C of the Month and T/C of the Year

- What is T/C of the Month?

Every month, Pressley Ridge selects and honors Teacher/Counselors who exemplify the Pressley Ridge values and Re-ED principles in their work with children and families. Front line staff, supervisors, program directors and Treatment Foster Parents are nominated by their peers and receive special recognition at the annual T/C of the Year Celebration. One exceptional staff member receives the T/C of the Year award.

Pressley Ridge T/C of the Year Celebration 2008

JaMel Morton was presented with the prestigious 2008 Teacher/Counselor of the Year award at the annual T/C dinner held in June at our Pittsburgh headquarters.  JaMel was very honored, humbled and emotional as he received this recognition from his colleagues.

JaMel has been with Pressley Ridge more than five years and is currently a Family Service Coordinator with the home-based program in Cincinnati. Prior to this position, JaMel served as a Master T/C in the Supportive Transitional Living program. His submission was written on behalf of some of clients who described him as; “He is Dad, Mom, Therapist, Liaison, Probation Officer, Tutor, Detective, Teacher, Counselor and Best Friend.”

In addition, the following teacher/counselors were awarded plaques and celebrated as T/Cs of the Month. Please congratulate our colleagues for their commitment to exemplifying the 12 principles of Re-ED.
