Susanne L. Cole, MA, LSW, Vice President of Residential and Educational Programs

Susanne Cole began serving as the Executive Director for West Virginia in May, 2003 and was appointed vice president of residential and educational services in January 2005. Susanne is responsible for the management and fiscal operations for West Virginia and oversees the residential and educational service lines operated at Pressley Ridge sites located in 6 states.

Susanne joined Pressley Ridge in 1990 as a Teacher/Counselor at the Grant Gardens residential program in WV when it first opened its doors and began providing services to troubled children. She continued to advance at Pressley Ridge eventually becoming Deputy State Director in 2001 for southern WV, where she managed the residential, foster care and community-based programs. In August 2002, her responsibilities expanded to include northern WV and overseeing all of the residential programs.

Susanne is active in many projects that benefit children and families and works extensively with the decision makers in WV. She serves on state committees that address children's issues in WV and is currently the Vice President of the board of Directors for the WV Alliance for Children. Susanne provides training and consultation to local educational systems on how to work with troubled youth in a classroom setting. Susanne is also a presenter at national and local conferences.

Susanne earned both her masters degree in Special Education and baccalaureate degree in Criminal Justice from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Susanne is also a West Virginia Licensed Social Worker.
