Janet C. Emery, CFRE, Vice President & Chief Development Officer
Janet joined Pressley Ridge in November 2004, and is responsible for management of all development, fundraising and communications functions within the organization.
She has worked in the development field since 1987, serving as annual fund director for the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, and as the executive director of the educational foundation of the Community College of Allegheny County. Janet comes to us from Achieva (formerly ARC Allegheny) where she served as vice president of external relations. Her career began in music management, working with Bowling Green State University, the Johnson Symphony Orchestra, the Harrisburg Symphony Association and the Pittsburgh Opera.
Janet is a graduate of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Faculty Training Academy and a recipient of the AVANTI Award for community service from the Allegheny County Medical Society Alliance. She is a past president of the Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives and a recipient of their Outstanding Fundraising Executive Award.
Janet holds a master of fine arts degree in arts management from the University of Iowa; an associate of arts degree from the Community College of Beaver County, Pa., and a bachelor of music degree from the Eastman School of Music, Rochester, N.Y.
