
Scott Erickson joined Pressley Ridge in May, 2003 as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer and was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2006. Before joining Pressley Ridge, Scott served as vice president of administration for KidsPeace Corporation, like Pressley Ridge a children’s behavioral health company, and chief learning officer of the KidsPeace Institute. Scott worked in the pharmaceutical industry for fifteen years for Pharmacia, Inc, (formerly Upjohn) working in Michigan, New Jersey and the United Kingdom, while serving as Vice President of Research Strategy and Administration and Vice President of Management and Organizational Development.
Scott provides leadership for the financial and administrative functions of the organization including the departments of finance and accounting, facilities administration, information technology, organizational development (which includes human resources and training), and research and evaluation. He also leads the Pressley Ridge Institute, which provides training and consultation on the delivery of children’s services to organizations outside Pressley Ridge, and Pressley Ridge International, which includes services in Hungary and Portugal. He also chairs the organizational development committee, Accreditation Oversight Committee and is a member of the Executive Staff, which works to improve Pressley Ridge’s capabilities and performance.
Scott earned his doctorial, masters, and baccalaureate degrees from the University of Minnesota. He received a PhD. in Education with a concentration in Futures Research. He also completed the Business and Economic System Dynamics summer program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
A noted national contributing author in various publications including the Encyclopedia of the Future, Erickson co-authored with Joel A. Barker, Five Regions of the Future, published in 2005 by Penguin Press
