B. Scott Finnell, Ph.D., LCSW, President and CEO

Scott joined Pressley Ridge in 2002 with more than 25 years of experience championing the causes of children and families. He began his career as a direct care worker at the Waco Center for Youth in Texas. He continued to serve children and families as vice president for youth programs and chief operating officer for Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. Prior to joining Pressley Ridge, he was the senior vice president for programs at KidsPeace. Dr. Finnell has provided leadership to organizations whose services have impacted thousands of children and their families.

A native of Texas, Scott earned his doctorate degree in social work from the University of Texas, Arlington and his masters and baccalaureate degrees from Baylor University. He has also earned an MBA from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Finnell is a regular presenter at national conferences and has numerous publications to his credit. He is also active in several professional organizations and currently sits on the board of the Alliance for Children and Families and the American Re-Education Association.
