FAQ's

What age group does Pressley Ridge Treatment Foster Care serve?
For the most part, we serve older children and adolescents who have had at least one previous placement outside their home.

How many children are placed per home?
Because of their individualized needs, only one or two children are placed in each home. Exceptions may be made for sibling groups.

How is Pressley Ridge's program different from other TFC programs?
Pressley Ridge Treatment Foster parents make a commitment to unconditional care - to not giving up on the kids. Because our TFC parents actively participate in a child's treatment, they are able to be major agents of change in the child's life.

Can anyone become a Treatment Foster Parent?
TFC parenting is not for everyone. We need people who can commit to not giving up easily on troubled kids. If you have the dedication, we will provide the competency-based skills training and support you will need.

How successful is Treatment Foster Care?
Very. Kids that are discharged from Pressley Ridge TFC Services show a 70 to 80% success rate, which means they return to live with their families, attend school, and/or are employed.
