Pressley Ridge Autism and Developmental Disabilities
The Autism and Developmental Disabilities Program at Pressley Ridge provides individualized educational and therapeutic services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. We help children interact and learn at home, in schools, and in their communities as fully as possible. Our program is based upon the Re-Education model, which teaches communication and social skills by using strength-based behavioral and therapeutic approaches.
Pressley Ridge Day School for Autism
- Serves children and adolescents - ages 6 to 21 years
- Licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a Private Academic School
- Provides intensive educational and therapeutic services
- Helps students to build academic, social, and communication skills, as well as life skills and vocational training
- Provides transition age services

Extended School Year Program
- Serves children and adolescents - ages 6 to 21 years
- Determined by the student's IEP
- Based on skill needs
- Summer program that keeps students engaged while maintaining progress on goals and objectives

Therapeutic Social Groups
- Serves children and adolescents - ages 2 to 18 years
- Provides intervention to carefully matched groups of children
- Helps children with autism to practice playing and building successful relationships
- Facilitated by two experienced staff members
- Meets in a natural, developmentally appropriate environment

Specialized Autism Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services (BHRS)
- Serves children and adolescents - ages 2 to 21 years old
- Provides wraparound service to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related developmental disabilities
- Believes in child-centered, individualized treatment
- Designed to meet each child's unique developmental and behavioral needs
- Allows children to remain with their families
- Provides integration into the community

Admissions Process
- All referrals are made to Central Admissions at 1.888.777.0820.
- Pressley Ridge Day School for Autism and Extended School Year Program referrals are made by the home school district.
- Therapeutic Social Groups referrals must have Medical Assistance plus an evaluation from a PA-licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, or developmental pediatrician.
- BHRS referrals must meet medical necessity criteria as established by DPW through an evaluation from a PA-licensed psychologist, psychiatrist, or developmental pediatrician.
