Each of these honored staff members exemplify what it means to be part of Pressley Ridge, an organization that holds it standards high when serving the most vulnerable children in our communities. Pressley Ridge staff are intensively trained and equipped with the skills to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and families. They are invested in the success of the children and families and work creatively and diligently to instill in them a sense of hope and a belief in their futures.

The commitment to helping a child and family achieve successful living is shared by all staff. It is an understood and celebrated component of each person’s job description. Every staff member is considered a Teacher/Counselor, a person able to positively impact children and families. The teacher/counselors are on the front lines of any effort we make to help troubled or troubling youth. It is the teacher/counselor who plays such a powerful role by acting as a mentor, teacher and trust builder.

These staff have demonstrated the ability to excel at implementing our Re-Education philosophy. A philosophy that is the foundation for our work here at Pressley Ridge and the theoretical framework for all our services and that calls for the re-education, not the clinical treatment,of emotionally disturbed children.
