PROGRAM OVERVIEW We provide education and mental health services for deaf youth all year long. The majority of students attend school and live on campus in the residential component of the program. Services are also offered to students in the community who may live at home with their families. Our students live at the school under the supervision of our trained staff. We have 4 classes, each with up to 8 students.
All of our staff have worked with deaf youth and know American Sign Language (ASL). Our goal is to help these students to return to their original homes and schools. A special component of our program are the psychiatrists, psychologists, and speech pathologists who work closely with families, school districts, and other agencies (e.g., mental health, children and youth services, juvenile court) to help the youth be successful. We provide an individualized, strength-based approach to academic and behavioral growth. SERVICES Our services help students increase their grades and achievement, reduce disruptive behaviors, develop coping skills, maintain positive relationships, return to their public schools and home communities successfully.
