School Based Training and Consultative Autism Services
Program Overview
Students with autism/Asperger’s often experience many challenges in their daily lives. Often, these children possess deficits in cognitive functioning, social skills, communication skills, emotion regulation, to name a few. These deficits range from mild to severe. Some students are easily maintained successfully in inclusive programs. Others present challenges for educators and administrators. Often times these challenges require assistance from outside consultants with autism expertise.
Pressley Ridge offers training and consultative services for students with autism and those that work with them. Our consultation team has been trained by nationally recognized experts in the field of autism education. Additionally, they are seasoned veterans who teach and/or provide training and consultation in differentiating instruction, teaching social skills, and addressing challenging behaviors for staff at the Pressley Ridge School for Autism. Our educational techniques are rooted in principles and practices that are evidenced-based. Research studies from all over the country have proven these strategies to be effective for children with autism spectrum disorders.
