Field Placement in Service Coordination at Pressley Ridge is carefully supervised and is focused on the individual and/or family being served. The Service Coordination Student will be responsible for assisting and learning general service coordination duties, under the supervision of the Program Supervisor. In addition, the Service Coordination Student will have the opportunity to gain exposure to other levels or systems of care for children and their families.
Duties of Intern
Service Coordination Student will assist and learn how to provide a child/adolescent (or their family) with serious mental health issues a professional assessment, service planning, and re-evaluation services required for a safe and healthy community life which is manifested through stability in relationships, housing and employment or meaningful by connecting them to formal services and making informal connections in their community. Relationships are paramount with families we serve; Pressley Ridge Service Coordination is the central contact point for coordinating care and assisting a person in their recovery process. This is done in accordance with Pressley Ridge’s vision, mission and values, and emerging mental health Recovery Principles.
- Reliable Transportation
- Valid Driver’s License
- FBI Fingerprint, State Police and Child Abuse Clearances + Physical with TB test
- Re-ED Principals and building relationships
- Service plan development, Assessment and Service coordination
- Special populations: Child Blended Mental Health, including but not limited to Autism Specialty and families that use Spanish as their preferred communication method
