A Special Gift

I just wanted to take the time to express my feelings. I know you do your best and devote 110% of your time to the kids. It’s not an easy job, and the kids can’t express their feelings, so I’ll try too! You have been such a wonderful teacher, helper, friend and role model. If there ever comes a time in your life that you question your ability to care, love, teach or give – PLEASE DON’T!!

You are a great person and the kids know that. As for me, you have made it easier for a mother to let go and trust that her son is in good hands! You treat Johnathan so well, like a normal kid. You see the best in him, the part that most people never take the time to see. It really helps for him to have a male figure in his life. Johnathan was so happy when he hit 2 homeruns in his last baseball game, when I asked him what or who he was going to give them to, he said “Mr. Joel” fast!! Knowing that you are really into sports like he is, I agreed with him.

Your kindness and acceptance of Johnathan will never, ever be forgotten!! And when you look at the ball as the years go by, I hope you smile and realize what a great person you are!! Johnathan is lucky to have you in and touch his life! I wish all the best to you now and always! May God continue to bless and watch over you! Just know I’m thankful and appreciate everything. You are the BEST!
