Pressley Ridge Portugal
- Past
Pressley Ridge has been in Portugal for almost
20 years and we exist as an association (Non
governmental organization for psychosocial
intervention with children, youth and families)
since 2004.
Our work contributes to
the reform and improvement
of services and programs
for children, youth and their
families from different Portuguese
government and non government
organizations through different
types of services:

- A post-graduate and a master's degree
course on psychosocial intervention with
children, youth and families. The first
course was in partnership with the University
Lusófona from 1997 until 1999. The second
was in partnership with the Institute of
Child Studies of the University of Minho,
2004.
- Training programs in several areas: behavior
management techniques; child development;
conflict and crisis intervention; life
skills; experiential education and program
evaluation. We’ve provided training
to several institutions: Instituto de Reinserção
Social - IRS; Santa Casa da Misericórdia
de Lisboa - SCML; Prosalis; Associação
de Profissionais de Serviço Social;
Cercimor; Ajuda de Berço; Junta
de Freguesia da Damaia; Instituto da Droga
e da Toxicodependência - IDT; Associação
CrescerSer; Centro Paroquial S. Vicente
de Paulo; Centros de Formação
do Ministério da Educação
em Alfragide/Amadora, Loures, Olivais e
Entroncamento.
