The Pressley Ridge Treatment Foster Care (PR-TFC) Pre-Service Training can be incorporated as part of your T3C Treatment Model implementation. PR-TFC focuses on preparing staff and families with the competencies needed when caring for youth from a trauma-responsive lens. Preparation is only one component of a fully implemented Treatment Model. Each organization must determine how they will integrate the training into their organizational culture. We encourage organizations to revisit their agency policies, procedures, and practices to ensure the PR-TFC coaching strategies are woven into the fabric of your daily work.

Trainer Resource Manual

This comprehensive manual contains everything a child welfare professional needs to deliver more than 30 hours of training for treatment foster parents. The Trainer Resource Manual contains: Fully Scripted Curriculum – 10, 2½ to 3-hour training units, all consistently formatted for easy reference to what a trainer needs to facilitate instruction throughout the training.

Introduction Section – an overview of the entire curriculum, including a complete listing of the core competencies of each training unit.
Experiential Activities – Each unit contains at least three activities specifically designed to actively engage parents in their own learning and aid in long term retention.
