In the past two weeks, 250 students returned to the campuses of the five Pressley Ridge schools. New this year, students and staff will be participating in the Ron Clark Academy House System, which is designed to build community and encourage student ownership, the system sorts students into four houses, each representing a core value: Altruismo – The Givers, Amistad – Friendship, Isibindi – Courage, and Reveur – The Dreamers. Students at the Day School Pittsburgh returned to find Phase 1 of the building renovations complete with accessibility updates, a brand-new sensory room, smart boards and new furniture in all classrooms. Phase 2 is now underway and includes a new student entryway, courtyard improvements such as new plants and green space, a STEAM room and an updated Practical Assessment Exploration System (PAES) Lab. These projects are expected to be complete in early 2026 and will be followed by renovations to the administrative areas and Family Counseling Center.
